Kitchen with Island Bench

The kitchen, living and dining areas of this historic 100 year old country home have been uniquely redesigned with the perfect balance of the latest technology with timeless, rustic industrial charm. 
This challenging project represented opportunities to improve the functional use and comfort of the space whilst paying tribute to the history of the property which is now home to the fourth generation of the original family owners.
The new open plan footprint is an ergonomic arrangement of space to include cosy and inviting living and dining zones, a high-tech kitchen, butler’s pantry and hidden laundry. 
The re-orientation of the living area allows for the commissioned artwork, which represents this dairy farm, to take centre stage. 
The design includes innovative use of locally sourced recycled hardwood, almost-black cabinetry and black metal shelving to create the desired contemporary industrial look and feel.  The hand-blown glass pendant lights and textured white splash-backs add brightness and contrast and the new engineered hardwood timber flooring which anchors the space and provides continuity throughout all areas.
End-to-end bifold doors have replaced the rear wall to expose the expansive views of the property and to celebrate the natural environment of the surrounds.
The outcome is a well considered design that creates a permanent homestead to be enjoyed and celebrated by family, guests and future generations into the next century and beyond.

This inner city loft style apartment was empty and uninviting. Our professional styling has created an inviting, comfortable and practical look and appeal to engage buyers and encourage best offers for the sellers.

Wynnum Kitchen Renovation

At a fraction of the cost of a whole new fit out, this kitchen has been given a well deserved face lift.  It is now fresh, light and inviting and styled in sympathy with its architecture.
This graceful heritage listed Queenslander had been lovingly cared for by the current owners however the kitchen had been renovated 15 years prior by the previous owners who had installed a dark timber country styled kitchen which was not in keeping with the original architecture of the home.  It did not function well and was very dark.  The homeowners were reluctant to replace the entire kitchen and preferred to renovate the existing space. Their objectives were to  include the latest in technology and function with  a traditional look in keeping with the Queenslander architecture. The outcome they wanted to achieve was to be light, bright, inviting and practical.
Inspiration was taken from the Hamptons style. The existing cabinetry was professionally resurfaced and redesigned in some sections.  The existing marble benchtops were retained.  New appliances installed including a french door fridge, Ilve oven, an Asko integrated rangehood installed in the original brick chimney and Zip tap over the new Franke sink.

Laundry Renovation

The original laundry didn't have enough benchtop space or storage.  Whilst retaining the footprint of the existing laundry, new cabinetry was custom made to fit  using thermolaminated VJ styled board. The benchtops were extended to create more usable work space and were custom made from Staron Acrylic and included a fully integrated molded sink.

Inner City Apartment

The owner of this riverside apartment, facing the magnificent Story Bridge, wanted to create style, personality and appeal to his residence. This was first achieved by commissioning custom artworks through 'Tailored Artworks' of Brisbane which reflected his love of contemporary art, fine red and sparkling wines and his favourite colour, sunny yellow.  A floor rug was custom designed to coordinate with the artwork, whilst allowing the artwork to be the hero of the room. The bedrooms and hallway were restyled using Jonathon Adler bedside tables, crystal base bedside lamps and accessories from Bandhini Homewares. The perfect fabric was selected for s fold curtains and roman blinds.
