Principle Designer
Sandra is a qualified Kitchen & Bathroom Designer and Interior Decorator & Stylist with more than a decade of experience designing and decorating residential and commercial spaces in Brisbane and surrounds.
Sandra’s path to a creative career did not follow a traditional route. Her background is as an HR & Industrial Relations Manager. After working in a number of high profile corporate positions, she was feeling the need to work in a more creative environment and moved into the film and television industry where she managed a team of talented performers of stunts and special action sequences for Australian and International feature films, TV series and TV commercials.
The calling for spiritual and personal exploration then took Sandra on a journey through Europe and on to India for her own "Eat, Pray, Love" experience. Getting married and settling in India, Sandra became absorbed in the Indian culture and grew to appreciate the local hand crafts especially the hand loomed fabrics, rugs, colour and design.
On returning to Australia and now with two young children, Sandra had the opportunity to renovate and then sell the home she was living in. This was the spark that started a love of interior design and renovations and over the next few years while her children were young, renovating and on-selling houses became her main source of income.
Sandra discovered she had an innate ability to create a vision for the way a home could be and so she decided to return to study, delving into the world of art and then undertaking an interior design course through the Beaumont School. This grounding was then supplemented with a variety of ongoing specialist training including the Designer Training Kitchens & Bathrooms courses.
Today Sandra focusses her skills on helping others by creating homes that are as individual as their owners - homes that not only function well but support and nurture the family and their guests.
She believes that a well designed and decorated home can create a great lifestyle and provide a place of wellness and harmony which have never been more important than today!
In addition to Sandra’s other qualifications, she has experience in the real estate
industry and qualified as a Real Estate Agent. This is particularly valuable in understanding the property market, how to add value to property and what buyers are looking for when purchasing a new home.
Sandra is also the former President of the Interior Design Association (IDA) and is a professional member of the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi) as well as the Housing Institute of Australia (HIA)
